Multi-disciplinary Artist / Producer Lia Ikkos combines talents working with breath and voice, physical performance, music, and visual media. As both a communications and community cultivator, multiculturalism and the plurality of perspectives underpin her creativity. Passionate about the power of music, breath and movement to heal the human body, she co-founded Yoga Elektronika, and has been working intimately with the founder of Mrs Flowers Media, to create a new wave of holistic somatic practitioners servicing artists and creative industry.
She most recently stared as the lead Penelope, in a feature film due for release in 2023. Her original performances have been staged at: The Royal Academy of Art 2015, 2016, 2017, The Arcola Theatre's Grimeborn Festival, The Cockpit Theatre's Rough For Opera, Sofia Underground Festival, The Southbank Centre and more. She has been a trainee under Katie Mitchell and Chris Kondek thanks to the ENOA Community. In 2016 she became the recipient of the John Fernald Emerging Director Award from Equity Charitable Trust, and a Sky Arts Academy runner up in the producer category. Between 2012 and 2015 she was a performer for the celebrated Gardzienice Theatre Company, and she continues performing as an actor / singer on independent projects.
Graduating from the Life Awareness Project in 2022, as a Breathwork instructor, she has a background as a performer. At the Guildhall Juniors in 2007 she was Singer of the Year, before obtaining a BA from University College London in Language and Culture,. At RADA + Birkbeck in 2012 she graduated with distinction in MA Text & Performance, and at The National Film and Television School 2020 she was crowned with a further MA in Creative Business for Entrepreneurs and Executives. Expertly at the intersection of performance, communication, media and the arts she applies the power of breath, mind and body to holistic healing spaces.
